Inside of everyone lives a ridiculous Clown, just dying to get out!
In this two day workshop you will have the opportunity to discover and explore your own personal Clown based on your natural instincts and inclinations of movement, voice, gestures and inner feelings.
We will explore the Clown and it’s relationship to self and other, and to the larger world of things and ideas through the use of improvisation, theatre games, physical comedy and drama therapy techniques, paying special attention to playfulness and spontaneity!
Target: Anyone who is interested in creating your own clown character.
Advanced Personal Clown Workshop
This workshop is for people who have developed personal Clown Characters and are now willing to deepen and explore personal Clown material.
With the use of improvisation, physical theatre and drama therapy techniques we will travel into the hidden parts of ourselves, where our greatest fears and vulnerabilities lie.
Concentrating on the absurd, we will begin the process of creating personal Clown theatre.

Christina Lewis is the director of the Clown School of San Francisco where she has been teaching and directing Clown Character development and improvisation, and directing personal Clown material for over 20 years. She has studied and performed Clowning in Europe, Central America and the United States.
Christina has a masters degree in Drama Therapy and utilizes the archetype of the Clown to promote personal growth. She also works as a Special Educator, using the Clown and improvisation to facilitate learning for students with developmental disabilities.
